Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi
Homegoing is story about two women who are sisters but don't know each other. One of the sisters named, Effia is married to a white British guy named James and the other one, Esi is a slave. Each chapter is a story of a member in the family tree. This book goes through generations of the Asante women, husbands, and kids.
The critical lens that I chose for this essay is Post colonialism because I have a stronger argument for this topic. I found post colonialism to be the most interesting out of all of them.
